Community College of Southern Nevada
Computer Classroom Building “C” - Phase III
Completed in 1996 this two-story classroom and computer laboratory facility serves Community College students twenty-four hours a day. Students can utilize the core computer pit or access accounts from remote off campus computers. The core area is surrounded by classrooms and laboratories all connected by an integrated network system. This project was designed in conjunction with CCSN's Information Systems Department. This facility is considered an advanced state-of-the-art computing center. In order to complete the facility early for the Spring 1996 semester, RAFI architects, the contractor, and owner were on the site completing the punch list on Christmas Eve day and again on New Year's day. Change order rate for items attributed to the design team for the 13 million-dollar project was less than one percent. This facility was the recipient of a 1996 Gold Nugget Award of Merit and the 1997 Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce Beautiful Las Vegas Award.
